  1. How many people does the cabin sleep?
It’s perfect for 4 people (1 Queen bed and 1 double) but it can accommodate up to 6 (2 twin beds).
  2. How many bathrooms?
There are 2 bathrooms – one with a tub/shower combo and the other with a cozy European style shower. They are both supplied with soap, towels and shampoo. There is a hairdryer in the master bathroom.* Please note: We operate on a septic system, so we ask that you do not dispose of any feminine hygiene products or paper towels down the toilet.
  3. How far is the cabin from the ski hill?
Like most in-town properties, we are located just 12 miles from Apache. It is a winding road, so it is a slower drive (but it sure is beautiful!
  4. How far is the cabin from shopping/dining?
About 5 minutes by car, depending where you want to go. Some venues are walkable, but there isn’t a proper shoulder on the road, so it’s best if you drive. It’s a nice, quiet location that’s convenient to all the trendy shops and restaurants.
  5. Does the cabin have a fireplace? Is there a fire pit?
It actually has 2 gas fireplaces. We converted them to gas so you can spend more time enjoying the fire and less time worrying about wood and ashes. Due to the dry conditions and frequent forest fire hazards, we opted not to have a fire pit.
  6. Is the house child-friendly?
The house is ideal for adults, but with proper supervision, it’s a great place for kids. There are 2 twin beds, a fenced yard area and plenty of TVs. We recommend you closely supervise your children around the fireplaces, yard, back deck and stairs, the creek, bathtub – just like you would at home.
  7. Do you have WiFi?
Yes! We also have 3 TVs, a DVD player, cable and a Bluetooth FM stereo (also USB compatible).
  8. Do you allow pets?
No, we do not. We’re pet lovers just like you, but we found that not everyone cleans up after their pet and it wasn’t pleasant for the next guest or for housekeeping.
  9. Is the water safe to drink?
Absolutely! And it tastes mountain fresh.
  10. What cookware and utensils do you have?
The kitchen is very well stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses and silverware. There are several fry pans, pots and pans of varying sizes, bakeware, and enough cooking utensils so the “chef” can easily manage a meal. In addition to full size appliances, we’ve provided conveniences like a microwave, toaster, blender and even a hand held mixer. There is a limited supply of coffee, coffee filters, cooking oil, spices and sugar for you to use during your stay
  11. Is there an outdoor grill?
Yes! There is a very nice gas grill on the back deck – complete with all the tools you need. We ask that you’re very careful lighting the grill and be sure to turn off the tank when you’re done cooking that steak.
  12. How far are the casinos from the cabin?
Inn of the Mountain Gods: 5 miles or 10 minutes by car Billy the Kid Casino: 3.7 miles or 8 minutes by car
  13. Do we need 4 Wheel Drive to access the cabin / are all the roads paved?
All the main roads are paved – No 4WD required. If there is an unusually heavy snowfall, we can’t guarantee when the roads will be cleared, so just be cautious during winter driving conditions. There’s also a snow shovel at the cabin for your safety and convenience.
  14. Is the cabin wheelchair accessible?
The cabin is one level and no stairs (except off the back deck to the creek). It is not officially ADA accessible and may be a bit crowded in some areas for a wheelchair.
